Left side of the bracket - Friday, Saturday, Sunday games

Charlottesville, VA

Virginia vs Maryland (UVA advances, 2-0)

  • Two #3 seeds from Regional play advance to meet each other in the Supers. Maryland beat the tournament's overall #1 seed, UCLA - the Bruins were the only national seed that didn't advance

Fayetteville, AR

Arkansas vs Missouri State (Arkansas advances 2-1)

  • National seed Missouri State shares their home ballpark with a minor league team...who is playing at home this weekend. The result is a national seed that is playing on the road in the Supers.

Coral Gables, FL

Miami vs VCU (Miami advances, 2-0)

  • VCU won the Dallas Regional and is the only #4 seed that advanced to the Supers.

Gainesville, FL

Florida vs Florida State (UF advances, 2-0)

  • The Lady Gators just won the WCWS in softball. Can the men duplicate the feat?

Right side of the bracket - Saturday, Sunday, Monday games

Baton Rouge, LA

LSU vs Louisiana-Lafayette (LSU advances 2-0)

  • If you thought the UF/FSU in-state matchup would be good, direct your attention here. The tailgates AND the baseball are both likely to be top-notch.

Fort Worth, TX

TCU vs Texas A&M (TCU advances 2-1)

  • Frogs against Farmers for the right to represent the Lone Star state in Omaha.

Champaign, IL

Illinois vs Vanderbilt (Vandy advances 2-0)

  • Yawn.

Louisville, KY

Louisville vs Cal State-Fullerton (CS-F advances 2-1)

  • CSF travels across the country to face a Cardinal program that's carved a nice reputation out over the last several years.

VCU threw their ace today.  They have some work to do to stick around.

Umpires cheated VCU. That call for interference was horse ****. There should have been a no call," We have nothing here." like originally called, OR they could have called obstruction on the second baseman for Miami. They cheated. True the runner must avoid the fielder, but the fielder went out of his way to contact the runner when the ball was five feet BEHIND the runner.... The umpires handed that game to Miami.

VCU should have scored more than 2. Smh. Need a new hitting coach.

Game was tied at 3 after two innings, but the Canes added a 5-spot in the 7th. Miami advance, 2-0.

TCU pitcher has only given up 1 run through 3, somehow. He keeps getting ahead in the count but I have no clue why he doesn't put a few pitches in the dirt. When you are up 0-2 in the count against an aggressive lineup, put the ball in the dirt a couple times. Seems like most of the A&M hits have come down in the count.
