The Longhorns and Cardinal square off at Sunken Diamond today at 5:00 PM in the Palo Alto Regional.

Texas cruised in the Miami Regional going 3-0 and defeating Louisiana and the MIami Hurricans twice.

Stanford hosted their regional and defeated San Jose State in the opener, but lost to Texas A&M in the second game.  The Cardinal responded by beating Cal State Fullerton and then beat the Aggies twice to advance.

Whichever team wins  two of three will advance to Omaha for the College World Series.

Texas Outfielder Dylan Campbell is currently riding a 38-game hitting streak.  The Longhorns have been to the College World Series 38 times and hope to make it 39 with a victory in the Stanford Regional.

Stanford 2-0. So far Stanford starter has been tough on our hitters

Lucas Gordon done with 2 outs in the 6th. Gave up a HR and we trail 3-2. Stanford has runners at 1rst and 3rd. Gordon battled but he had a lot of pitches early and finished with 110 pitches.

Gordon might have gone one inning too long.High pitch count, while opposing pitcher had alow pitch count

Hope for acome back or it is all overif first game lost..

It's not all over by any stretch. This was a game that we needed to take, especially since their ace isnt pitching until tomorrow but this team has bounced back from adversity time after time this year.

We do talk about Bruno!

Ryan Bruno, closer for Stanford walks the bases loaded in the 9th. To the bullpen the go with no outs and tying run on first!

An error in right field allows Texas to score 2. Slow ground ball up the middle is a FC RBI for Jared Thomas.

5-5, runner on 3rd, 1 out

A walk and now Dylan Campbell (hitless today), comes to the plate with 1 out and runners on the corners...goosebumps

Guilmette struck out for out 2. Porter Brown then takes a 3-1 pitch to right field to score 2.

Texas 7-5

Horns put up 5 on top of 9. 7-5 Texas Morehouse in to try and close
