Wow! Who wants to go to the Northwest???

Seriously, though...Texas doesn't have it too bad if that's where it falls, but I still think there's a chance they get a regional if they win they're last two series and at least get to the Big 12 championship final.

Outside shot at a host for Texas. There's only one series left for Texas, and a Tuesday game.

If it all ended today, I could see Texas & Ok St being switched.

That makes it a bit tougher.

Win the 'ship and they host a regional, IMO.

I'm good (at this point) with a road trip to reckling park. and that would feed into ft worth if all holds. we could do a whole lot worse.

Exactly. And also the reason why Okie St gets screwed in their scenario.  Although if Okie St wins the Seattle Regional, they'd then have to go then to Bloomington, Indiana.

Also, keep in mind that Ok St is ranked #9, TCU ranked #18.

Ok St beat TCU 2/3 in their series this season.

Both are tied at the top of the conference standings at 13-5.

Ok St is 35-13, TCU is 34-13

Pokes are getting hosed in this scenario.

good.

joey, you inspired me to look it up. surprisingly, at least to me, UT's current RPI is 13 and strength of schedule is 10th. Okie States's rpi is 27 and SOS 72. FWIW.

If a team from Texas gets a national seed, I would expect one of the Texas teams to make the CWS due to the pairings. I think both our teams should love the draw of these projections. Let's face it, there is no one team clearly better among Texas, Rice, TCU, U of H, A&M (a little behind the others)  so it should be a dogfight to see who remains.

we beat rice in a three game series, have a better record than rice, have a better ISR than rice (ours is 11) but we're going to their regional?

i don't think so.  and the jury's still out anyway.  let's just take care of business with k state and let it sort out.  this is too premature.  teams go thru slumps and we're in one.  we can get out of one too.

Unfortunately, the committee judges how teams do down the stretch, win the K-State series and do some damage in the B12 tourney and ya'll should host for sure, still a chance for a super too.
