Something to chew on in regards to Strong

With Bill O'Brien taking the Texans job and opening up Penn State, there's a lot of rumors about Al Golden possibly being a candidate for that job. If he were to take it, the strong choice for Miami would be Charlie Strong. That's what I'm reading at least.

So if Strong is going to be our guy, there might be some reason to rush him a little bit. Not saying that he's our choice or not, but definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Considering that we are slated to have someone n place by the 15th, I think we will be OK. If it came down to offers from both Texas and Miami for his services, I like out chances.

Strong to Miami makes some sense, but the U job is just held in such low esteem nowadays due to the NCAA stuff and lack of fan support. OTOH, Strong holding off on PSU and waiting for Florida next year makes A LOT of sense to me. Whatever keeps him out of Austin

Very true, but I was under the impression that Franklin was being looked at closely up there as well. According to fansided.com, Penn State is wanting to get this done in the next couple of days.

strong would already be announced if he was option one, I don't know how you guys don't get that. They are waiting on someone.

Smoke is that Golden has already been offered the PSU job. And most expect him to take it.

I wouldn't be against Strong, but I think we can and will do better.

Franklin is smoke. Not only in Austin but Louisville as well.
