SIAP: from Yahoo!, Tension between 49ers, Harbaugh getting tricky

Fascinating. Seems like a bit of a mental case — not sure how that would play with UT BMD's who are used to smooth-talking Mack Brown. Still my number 1 though. Very interesting to hear Schefter directly allude to the fact that Texas would be going after him full bore.

As always, I'm sure winning would cure most everything. I'll never forget the Oregon BMD's who said they'd be happy to see Chip Kelly leave because he was more focused on football than chewing the fat.

Earlier this month, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that San Francisco would be willing to let Harbaugh go to the University of Texas if the Longhorns made an aggressive push for Harbaugh.

Sweet music to my ears.

Interesting. I wonder how he rubbed the folks at Stanford the wrong way?
Gung ho blue collar who has some issues with the way athletes were treated at Stanford by faculty. Faculty wasn't as accommodating as he would have preferred, so they butted heads a lot.

Oh how hard it is to be a Texas fan. To have to possibly pick between Saban and Harbaugh. What an awesome problem to have.

Shows how little Oregon knows about football. They are like TCU-North. They think they're "all-that" until they lose a game or two they shouldn't then they scurry for cover.

For a school that has NEVER done anything, they sure think highly of themselves.

Think about these Oregon numbers for a minute:

Postseason Bowl Record: 11-15

Conference Titles: 11

Consensus All Americans: 6

Heisman Winner: 0

National Titles: 0

Oregon has more uniforms combos than bowl wins.

I thinks it normal for great coaches not get along their owners/executive administration.

Is it possible to be a great coach and not be considered somewhat crazy?

I wonder if this report changes the way Patterson or his 8 fellow helpers feel about Harbaugh.
