When I heard Pudge would announce his retirement tonight, the memories hit me big time. I grew up in the DFW area and went to many a Ranger game. The Ranger teams of the 1990's led by skipper Johnny Oates were fun... Pudge, Juan Gonzalez, Palmeiro, Beuchele, Clark, Dean Palmer...

I consider Pudge the best catcher to play the game, because I AM biased! Johnny Bench and Mike Piazza will enter into the discussion but Pudge was a complete hitter and had the strongest arm I have seen at the position. Thanks for all the great memories Pudge and congratulations!

I-Rod merits first ballot Hall of Fame consideration is you ask me. Haters bring up his name being mentioned in the Mitchell Report but it is a load of crap. He needs to retire and not hang on like so many other athletes do.

Agreed. He is one of, if not the best catcher of all time, without a doubt.
