Pearl Jam rant

Listening to the Pearl Jam Channel on Sirius XM this morning and during a live show they did a few years back Eddie Vedder took a jab at all of the "rich" people during the show, referencing all the folks sitting in sky boxes and singing a song directed at them (the rich). He then went on and on about his support for Ralph Nader and how Democrats and Republican Presidential candidates are just puppets by the machine...

It pissed me off a little bit that Vedder was bagging on the "rich" when he isn't exactly eating pork and beans every night or living in a 1 bedroom shack. He dropped out of high school and pursued his music career and had to work hard (and rely on a little luck) to rise to stardom. His net worth is valued at $80 million. I guess artists aren't considered "rich" no matter how much money they have because they earned it through a different manner than a stockbroker, corporate businessman or entrepeneur.

I like Pearl Jam's music but Vedder is an idiot.

Vedder and PJ have always had a beef with how the music industry is done. They got into a beef with the ticket system by railing against how the venues hold out their up close seats for the scalpers...and...you know what he is spot on. You can wait in line for hours or be the first caller and you might get middle of the venue seats.

The scalp the tickets to some scalper and then put rich motherf##kers in the front rows while shutting out their true fans. I say F@#K the system and I wish more artists would control the system but they are all on a money grab. The system blows and I as the resident piece of shit liberal say..."I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."

F@#K the man as well..now that's a f##king rant..

I remember the Tickemaster issue but my point is don't get pissed at rich man that works for Exxon Mobil when you are a rich man that works in the music industry!

Equating Rock Stars to common sense is a fools errand..but..I just dig the music and ya know..hate the man bro>>>>
