KJ Young, who I have never heard of, was dismissed from the OU football team for violating team rules. Anybody else thinking this guy must have killed someone to actually be dismissed by Stoops! Where are the team rules for not punching out women?

I'm not really certain how long someone would be suspended, but I'm pretty sure he would be back for the second Saturday in October, if you get my drift.

Their attrition hasn't been that bad. Although I haven't crunched the numbers, I believe the average percentage that finish their college career at the school they signed with is between 50 and 60%. They just aren't bringing in top level talent out of Texas as often as they used to and have had some bad evaluations on OOS (non-Texas and Oklahoma) prospects. On top of that, the coaching turnover has been rough as well.

Several years ago, Stoops made the mistake of taking his recruiting to a national approach. He swung and missed on a few, landed a few, but the ones he landed percentage-wise seldom panned out.

He should have danced with the one that brung'em and kept his focus on Texas while supplementing that with some national guys. He's never really recovered from that.

I always believed A&M's move to the SEC would help them land better TX commits and would come at OU's expense. Stoops has decided to ramp up his efforts to recruiting CA. What a CA kid - especially one who lives on the beach - will see in Norman, I have no idea.

Isn't Golden Gloves RB Joe Mixon from Cali? Solid character guy.
