Time to man up. You took a perverse delight in ridiculing those who bought into the Saban rumors, but I haven't seen you on here to eat crow about the fact that Mack is leaving. You repeatedly said ALL the rumors were baseless and attacked all who proposed otherwise. It is easy to sit back and play the cynic, now let's see if you can do something a little harder and admit you were wrong.

orangeman reminds me of a guy when i was at UT....he always took the predictably cynical view of any prognosis so that if he was right, he could smugly sit back and act as if he "knew" all along. I remember when we were playing Nebraska for the Big 12 championship and he pulled an "orangeman"....he declared that we were going to get killed by Nebraska and had no chance of winning. Of course, this is a safe way to go because when the opposite happens, most people aren't petty enough to point it out because they are busy celebrating the good thing that happened.

yeah, it made an impact on me. i have seen variations of this phenomenon pop up many times through life now. the people who are so afraid to hope or to be caught unawares by a disappointing result that they find it safer to just always predict the worst outcome so when it happens, they get to celebrate while everyone else is miserable, but when it doesn't happen, no one calls them on it.
