I have been following this board, IT, Orangebloods, and Hornfans for the last decade. I have never posted on any board but have found this board super entertaining so couldn't resist.
Last time Texas changed their coach, I was a sophomore at Texas and this year my son turned 10 and started playing tackle football and all he wore through out the season was Texas jerseys at practice which got a lot of funky looks here in the Pacific Northwest. He talked so much about being a longhorn that his coach who worked on the 49ers staff got Colt McCoy to send his team a personalized message before their game.
Hopefully the next coach at Texas picks up the winning longhorn tradition and by the time my son is ready to go to school he is good enough to play and go to Texas.
So whoever it is Saban, Harbaugh, Fisher, Briles or Strong, I am excited about the new Texas football era.
