Five-star Mesquite (Texas) Poteet linebacker Malik Jefferson has set a decision date. The 6-foot-2.5, 215-pound defender has long said he will announce after the season and after he took his official visits but now has a firm date. According to the Dallas Morning News, the nation's No. 11 overall player and top prospect in Texas will announce on Dec. 19.

"That will be my last day at Poteet,†Jefferson said. “I’ll be a early (December) graduate and thought that would be a good time.â€

Jefferson's Crystal Ball is currently 64-percent for Texas A&M, 33-percent for Texas and 3-percent for Baylor. Other schools likely in consideration include Alabama, Ohio State, Stanford and UCLA.
