McWhorter? If so bad why at Penn State.?

For anyone.... If Mc Whorter was so bad then why was he picked up by O'Brian at Penn State..., or if he was a mistake I think that would have come out by now? Opinions?

McWhorter is, like I think we've learned as time has gone on and the cover has came off here, a good coach working for a bad leader. Amazing how guys leave here and thrive.

McWhorter - like the rest of the staff - got lazy after the 2005 MNC. When you have a guy at the top who can't really coach but is a constant meddler it's a recipe for failure.

I think it is nothing more than a reflection of our Head Coach. He may not be very involved with the players (CEO) but as far as the other coaches are involved, l think he is too involved. And when you are not a great X's and O guy you are going to have problems. I am really worried about our recruiting. No matter who we hire it may take three or four years to get the program pointed in the right direction.

When we hired McWhorter he was thought of, almost unanimously, in the coaching world as a top of the line offensive line coach. There were next to zero complaints about him. The same was with Searles. The one constant with our poor o-line play has been Mack.
