LSU in a pickle?

Less than two weeks before the whopper of an opening game vs. Oregon and LSU players get in a bar fight. They have yet to speak with police about the incident BUT they have hired a defense lawyer. Senior qb Jordan Jefferson is among the group. This is not good for LSU either way you look at it. Jefferson is sketchy at qb but is a serious threat outside the pocket. He doesn't play and I think Oregon definitely wins this game.

Lawyered up and guilty as he-zell. Miles will let all of these fine upstanding men play every down of the opener too. Hell, between LSU's bar fight and Oregon's problem with the hippie lettuce and driving cars that university employees rent for you, this could be dubbed the misfit bowl. I know it is only the first game but crap... This has gotten to be ridiculous. Idiots all around.

Jefferson has made substantial progress this year as a passer according to sources at the Manning training camp. Many analysts think this should be a year that really puts him in another level of play. Comparisons to Jason Campbell are fairly accurate but the legal troubles are not doing him any favors. Assault and assault with the intent to do bodily injury are serious offenses.

I don't think Jefferson has the decision making capability of Jason Campbell. Not as polished.

Les Miles needs to go ahead and sit Jefferson and move forward with Jared Lee or Mettenberger. If he plays Jefferson he is willfully letting his player make a mockery out of him and his program.

Cops searched Jefferson's apartment today? This is like a freaking episode of Law & Order. What did they come out with? A switchblade in a ziplock bag? What in the heck were they looking for? Brass knuckles? Good lawd this is getting good. How much you wanna bet Jared Lee set all this up!

After staying away as long as I could I have to say that this is embarassment to the fine and storied Louisiana State University football program. Like most LSU fans, I am not a big fan of Jordan's play. Noody has a clue what to expect from him week in and week out. At least if he is suspended or benched we will not have to worry about that. Lee should be able to fill in nicely behind our mountain of an O-line. JJ is single handedly responsible for me having to take blood pressure medicine!

Cops issued arrest warrants for two LSU players today. Starting QB Jordan Jefferson is one of them! Suspended indefinitely which means Jarett Lee will be the starter with Mettenberger second in the food chain now. The Oregon game is going to be an uphill battle for the Tigers now. Heck, yesterday Russell Shephard was ruled ineligible.

These LSU Players beat the hell out of those guys. From the ESPN website:

Andrew Lowery, the man whom witnesses say was kicked in the face by suspended LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson outside a Baton Rouge bar, suffered a facial fracture, a concussion, fractured teeth and facial and body bruises in the attack, a source close to the investigation said.
Regardless of who instigated this brawl these LSU players aren't looking too good. Neither of these guys have a previous criminal record. Careers are being ruined in Baton Rouge! Yowza!

I just wish we could see the best matchup in Dallas with both teams putting their best products on the field. Between the dope smokers in Eugene and the pugilists in Baton Rouge we are going to have a depleted scene.

Are there more player arrests coming from Baton Rouge?

Jordan Jefferson may have not been involved in the "head kicking" incident. Sources say he was still inside the bar when the fight went down. This was a setup by Oregon, no doubt! They had no idea Jarett Lee would be the DUCK KILLER. LSU is headed to the promise land this year!
