This is certainly not new news...but I thought there should at least be mention of it here.

According to Brown, it was a mutual decision. There have been all kinds of rumors posted by those looking for a reason, with the most common being:

(1). He was told he needed to gray shirt and he refused; (2). He poses a risk of not having necessary grades; and (3) He was guilty of a bit of misconduct during his visit (went to strip club)...and things went downhill thereafter.

But bottom line is that we have one more scholarship available to give.

Sorry I didn't see it Matt.  My eyes (or something) must be going on me.
No worries! I just wanted you to know it was there in case you were interested in reading others' comments.

Media talking about it at the FEC were discussing the mutual parting by Strong & Brown. Several guys had confirmed different pieces, so we put all that together.

It wasn't grades, or a greyshirt (if everything I heard was correct). It sounds like Brown has some family influences in Austin that are not positive in his life and he let himself be guided by them while here.

If what's rumored to have happened, the kid deserved to be sent home. SMH.

It's really unfortunate that happened, but Louis knew going in what it takes to be a Longhorn. Hopefully, he will learn from the experience and make better decisions in the future.

My parents always told us when something happens that is unfortunate, we could use it to become better or let it hurt us. I try to remember that.

Hook 'em!

Something similar happened years and years ago with Jon Peters who was a pitching phenom from Brenham.
With Peters kind of dodge a bullet as he blew out his wing at A&M. Something tells me there is a bullet dodged here also.

Peters first hurt his arm in HS because he was pitched into the ground.
