16 inning scrimmage against one of the better Junior College Baseball Program that reads a who's who of players that Texas was on at one point or another.

Horns “won” the 16-inning scrimmage by a score of 8-7  

This was an opportunity for both teams to view their teams in game situations and get most of the kids on their Fall rosters some action. From what I have heard there was both some impressive play by both squads, as well as some rust that needed to be worked through.

Any reports on how the team looked / performed in general during fall practice?  Any big disappointments / injuries?  Any pleasant surprises?  Any pitchers suddenly appear?  Did the "magical" bats with HITS arrive...?   Basically...can the team effectively throw the ball...catch the ball...hit the ball?  Other than McLennan, any other scrimmages against other teams?  Has the Orange-White World Series already been played?
