Dallas Cowboys former MLB, Lee Roy Jordan, passed away.

Bear Bryant was asked how Alabama was going to stop Oklahoma's high power offense. He replied, "I'm going to sick Lee Roy on them." He did. Lee Roy Jordan set an Alabama bowl record with 31 tackles in the game. Alabama won 17-0.

I read that at half time in the 1967 "ice bowl" (the winner of which would face the AFC champion in the first ever championship) the Vince Lombardi jumped right in Jerry Kramer's face asking if he needed to block that little middle linebacker for Dallas that was "killing" them.....Kramer said coach I guess you are going to have to, I cant catch him to lay down a block....
