Several have mentioned thatMM might be injured. So decided to have a thread so everyone can comment

I belive his injury is his back. IMO he is hurting just do not belive his game wouldgo south if he wasn't. In all of his plays in previous games he never made throws that was so terrible.

Wasn't odds before game he would not finish? Comments!

I didn't notice anything that might indicate an ailment. His INTs were mental mistakes, not physical. There were no receivers anywhere close. Some other passes that were nearly picked were bad decisions that would have been catchable had there not been a defender or two or three in the way.

We know he has been injured in the past and we also know that he did not fully practice twice the week leading up to the K-state game. There was also talk that people believed he wouldn't have been able to keep playing if the Houston game went much longer.

So, he is definitely dealing with something. Did it affect his play on Saturday, that is less clear.

He almost did not finish the first game when Ewers went down. Was told we almost saw Arch because of it. @BWilk55 mentioned this also.

But I agree, his miscues were not a result of a bad back. I'm sure he was playing in pain, but his decision making was what got us in trouble.

It seemed to me that he played well early in the game, he seemed to be able to reliably place the ball where it needed to be.

He certainly had some mental lapses, but it seemed to my untrained eyes that he was having trouble completing passes late in the game that seemed routine earlier in the game.

I don't know anything about his injury, but I think a nagging injury could explain his degradation of his performance during the game.

Also I know Maalik is not a running QB, but normally you would expect a few runs, if nothing else but to keep the defense honest. It would make sense to have zero running plays if he is nursing a nagging injury.

Not saying his lower back injury excuses some of the mental lapses he's had, but it definitely does not help, especially as the game progresses and he takes hits.
