If saban loses

I don't think he would make that decision on one game. At least I would hope he wouldn't.

Think about it another way, he just got some huge raise correct, his fan base expecting an easy win. It is Oklahoma an easy big 12 team and Alabama should be playing for a title. Do you not think that fan base would turn on him with all the money they are paying now and he cant even win the sugar bowl.

His decision is made, whatever it is.

However, I do think if the answer was no, we'd been told by now.

If Saban loses and it helps Texas land him, then you just spent $100mil on a guy who lost to Stoops as a 17 point favorite. I was assuming we were sending a tanker ship full of money for a guy who could not possibly ever lose to Stoops.

We're hiring dependent on one game?

News to me on the "can't possibly ever lose to Stoops" angle. Hadn't heard that before.

He could have answered no and the info just hasn't trickled down to us yet...although I hope that is not the case!

It very well could have already been no, but no one wants to listen.

I agree.

Although i have a friend who is the AD at a well known High School. He is hearing a name that nobody is mentioning. His only hint was that he had 11 letters in his first and last name combined. He said none of the names being mentioned were it. The best guess I cud come up with was Greg Schiano. I don't think so, but this guy could knwo someone.

Mack was fired because he lost to Baylor and missed a conference title by one game (Actually 8-5 is a miraculous season imo for a guy down 12 starters, but never mind that). I'd say Briles probably got killed as a candidate when he lost to Central Florida, that's one game.

That's the nature of fandom, the difference between Mt. Everest of cash and a bucket of tar and feathers is frequently one game.

Jim Harbaugh has eleven letters.

you can only win so long at one school before you message gets old, doesn't matter who you are. Yes the old days were different one coach could stay forever and win but not now.
