Last week thing that we might have a chance against Baylor. I'm back to thinking they are going to boat race us.

I just don't see how are offense is going to be able compete in a shootout when we can't throw the ball.

We make up for it by not being able to block if more than two competent players are in the opponents front seven.

Im as happy to be bowl eligible as anyone, but this win streak has came against some really crap quarterbacks and lame duck defenses. These last four teams are superior to the ones we've faced since Ole Miss.

I know he was 20 of 29, but other than Shipley what did we do? The real season starts now, we beat the scrubs of the Conf as we should've...but now we get the meat and not the sauce.

I know everyone on TV today was talking about all the things McCoy is but we all need to understand if we have to throw the ball to win...it won't happen. He has won the last few weeks because we have been pretty balanced with the run but against Baylor and hell TT and OSU we won't be ahead and have the luxury of running the ball to set up the pass. He may be a great leader and the team may respond to him better but he limits what we can do on offense and that will come back to bite us in the rear end.

We might go into bowl season on a three game losing streak if we play those last three opponents like we played today.

I would suggest that we played down to our competition today. Everything seemed flat: the team, the crowd, the announcers, my beer.... There was almost no hype associated with this game even when it was going on and our performance was a stark contrast to how we had been playing.

Oklahoma's defense was able to hold Tech in check, relatively speaking, so I'll wait to chalk up the L's until we play the games.

Case is what he is but he seems to be getting worse! He has some of the worse mechanics & footwork!

I agree. I'm just hoping today was an anomaly. We played Kansas like we played them last year. I went and looked at how we played following the come-from-behind win in Lawrence and we went on a two game win streak as we beat a Tech in Lubbock and Iowa State at home. Hopefully we'll repeat that this year...but our competition gets much more difficult here on out.

We've won against teams with avg to mediocre QBs- Case being slightly better. I am afraid against better QBs and defenses Case is going to be Case! I think the clock is going to strike midnight & Texas will turn back to a pumpkin.

Exactly right. Everyone is slobbering all over Baylor's knob but the only decent team they've played(KSU) held them fairly well in check and was also handled pretty well by us. I'll wait and see what they do later, especially since we don't play them until the last game of the year. Far too much work left for our guys before we get to them.

Tech and OSU are playing a pretty entertaining game, if you aren't watching. Flipping between them and the retirement bowl.

we havet beaten a team with a half decent QB. the Big12 in '13 doesnt have many good QBs. WV doesnt have a half decent QB. lets play a competent QB b4 thinking about entering the Bu game. Bu scores 50+ on us, TT and Osu might. i stopped drinking the cool aid at halftime of Byu.

I'm not sure though that we'll necessarily have to throw all the time either, assuming we don't fall too far behind. If we abandon the ground game too early if the game is still in doubt, then that's on the staff. Otherwise, it would be a mistake to do so, because our balance is what would keep us in the game.

I have not watched Baylor much this year, but it seems like we may be one of the few teams capable of slowing them down. We can generate a great pass rush and pretty solid line control with our front four for the most part, and our secondary--such as Byndom and Diggs--clearly can match up well against most teams' receivers. The main concern would be our LB's trying to cover their backs, so hopefully we don't try to survive on that kind of matchup too much. Will be interesting to see how GR tries to combat that, as I'd imagine he'd go with more and more DB's against an attacking offense like Briles will run.

The team I've been watching that could give us every bit the fits (and maybe even more) that Baylor might is Okie State. Their O' hasn't been nearly as good this year as it normally is, but their D is saltier and the O' seems to be coming alive lately (albeit against ISU and a still very suspect Tech D).

I think we handle Tech but Ok St and Baylor will be really tough to win both against.

It won't be pretty
