I was browsing some other sites and saw so many posts like Charlie was NOT dealt a fair chance, God bless you Strong for what you have done here, etc.

Here are a few:

He did such a great job turning our program around from 2010 to 2013
Eh?

Strong never got a fair shake at Texas and someone else stands to reap the benefits for his efforts on our behalf, but I for one will always be grateful for his contributions.
I call bs

…I’m not sure this move to fire Strong isn’t premature. I said when he reported for duty in January of 2014 that he had 3 seasons. Despite the continued losses I see progress in this team

WTH is wrong with these people?  I mean seriously did I just wake with a degree from Midwest Montana?  I am beginning to wonder if they are ags in sheep clothing.  By all means pun intended.  Just what do you consider progress?

We just lost to Kansassssssssssssssssssssss.

DMAC, you need to do what I did, and get off the internet.  Call it therapy.  I've been checking in, but not staying on it because it drives you crazy with all the speculation, trolling, etc.

We were released for Thanksgiving on Friday.  I made a decision to enjoy it, regardless.  This is a difficult situation, but one over which I have no control, and people use the internet to annoy, bully, bait, and troll.  They relish others discomfort and misery.  Don't let it get to you.  I'm going to stick to my resolution, if it kills me!   B)

This will get taken care of, and I suspect rather quickly.  Our BMD's, and I think Fenves, as well, learned from the mistakes when Mack was terminated and Charlie was hired.  This is what I think is going to happen:  Charlie will announce his resignation today (resignation with buyout), vacancy posted today or tomorrow, new coach is announced possibly as early as next Monday, but I haven't looked at schedules.

That would give the new coach a lot of time to hire the any staff he needs to fill for anyone not following him, and I hope he keeps at least one guy on the current staff, possibly Traylor to smooth the transition, and begin recruiting.

Those are my thoughts, anyway.  Getting off the 'net give you clarity, and so does a good night of sleep!

Hook 'em!

Great man. Wrong Coach for UT. It's best for all involved for Coach Strong to begin another chapter of his life.

I did see last night that Patrick Hudson tweeted that Strong wasn't going anywhere and that people need to calm down...is he just in denial?

If his statement turned out to be true, there is indeed no hope for this program. Like I said elsewhere, these complaining players need to look at the scoreboard and into the mirror.

DMAC doesn't sound crazy to me, but genuinely interested in who thinks Strong is the man to lead #TexasFootball going forward.

Java - I hope your timeline for replacing Strong is accurate. I want Herman - or whoever - in here ASAP to get situated and his new staff hired. The pieces are in place to compete for a Big 12 title in 2017. #1-0

I wish with all of my heart that I could say "yes", but this loss can't be defended. We're staring down the barrel of another losing season, and a comedy of errors in the form of lack of discipline, bungled assistant coaching hires/retentions, and the inability to play on the road all fall at Charlie's doorstep. It's a young team, but it's also a poorly coached team.

Something tells me there's gonna be a blood bath between the donors and Perrin/Fenves. Just got this gut feeling

I am not trying to disrespect anyone here.

I am just trying to figure out why there are so many people that still want Strong as HC after Iowa State last year and now Kansas (it kills me to even type that word).

You have to admit he draws a ton of sympathy.  Although most of it is undeserving after losing to Kansas IMO.

Even most reasonable people understand while we may all like the person, he is NOT a good head coach here at Texas.

The reason is unclear why Strong hasnt worked out here but this team is full of emotion yet never shows it on the field (where it counts).  the captain has to go down with this ship.

This is THE University of Texas not the University of Charlie Strong
