How are we going to beat Baylor?

Take a look at that photo. If you want to know how to beat Baylor there you go. Load the box with more bodies than they can block to stop their run game and then man up across the board with their WRs. In this instance, Ok State was running a cover 0 with no safety help over the top. There were other plays where they ran cover 1 with one safety back deep, but it was dependent on the formation that Baylor was in. It was a gameplan that a lot of teams are afraid to use against Baylor because of their team speed, but that's the way to beat them.

If we are going to have any chance of slowing down the Baylor offense, we are going to need our d-line to control the line of scrimmage and get pressure on Petty and then our corners to be able to man up against their WRs. There's no doubt that we can do the same thing as Ok State because we have just as good, if not better, athletes that they do. But Baylor is going to come out like gangbusters in the final game at Floyd Casey so we'll need to make some momentum plays early on like sacks or turnovers or special teams plays to get the momentum away from them. And it's going to take a huge effort from Robinson and his defensive staff and players to make things work. The blueprint is there on how to stop Baylor. It's really no different than a lot of those Tech teams under Leach when it comes to being physical with their WRs. The difference between those offenses and this one is that Briles isn't afraid to run the ball with his RB or QB so you can't play as much zone as you could against Leach.

Ver good points.

IMO, our DEs need another game like they had last night. Tackle! especially Safeties. We again need to be 2+ on turnovers. We can run on the Bu Defense but Case needs to be be good Case, not WTF Case. Bu has an injured LT and LB(both out) and we need to go after that. We can win but we can't win a shoot out.

That should be a damn fun environment for its last game.

Byndom is going to need to play the kind of football he used to if there is to be a chance. Baylor's offensive line wont cave like Techs did.

A very sad thread... University of Texas fans speculating about how to beat the mighty Baylor Bears to avoid losing to them for the third time in four years... This is MBTF...

Our DBs just need to knock the shit outta the WRs at the LOS every snap. Disrupt the timing of the patterns can throw that whole offense out of whack and give our D line time to get to the QB. Seriously, just line up and knock their dick in the dirt and turn it into a black and blue slugfest.

Sure they do Kevin, but I dont think theyve got that in them. That kind of aggression cant be taught in a matter of days.

I agree completely, this is on Mack. If we lose to BU we will have lost 3 of 4 to them, just awful

rush for 250 yds

limit our turnovers

no special team breakdowns

obviously our defense will have to be extra good
