*****GAME THREAD: Texas Longhorns @ #6 Oklahoma State Cowboys*****

In defense of the DBS they faced the best reciever they will see all year.He made severalcircuses catches.

I feel for the Oklahoma State fans since they lost to probably their second most hated rival. Also, they can look at the turnovers, the 100 yard kick off return, and the penalty on the punter as a case that they beat themselves. I would think they would want to meet us again in the Big 12 Championship game.

Unfortunately, it ruined their undefeated season and knocked them out of the top ten. I do feel for them.

Herman said team is a work in progress.  This after four years on the job?

You know there were some crazy calls in that game last night. I thought they called some bad ones both ways but definitely some bad ones. The Brewer pass interference comes to mind and on that 4th down I thought we caught a break on the pass interference call in the end zone on Joshua Moore. Look to me like their feet just got a little tangled up. Big call because it gave us a new set of downs. The catch or no catch for Oklahoma St at the end of the game could have gone either way. I thought it would go against us but they reversed it in our favor.

Glad to get the win but man it was ugly. I’ll take it and hope we look better next week
The ok state catch at end of game was a no brainer. The rule is you can’t use the ground to secure a catch. The receiver may have looked in control of the ball but his hands were not underneath the ball and he had not  hit the ground yet. The first part of anything that hit the ground was the ball. In this instance by rule the ground secured the catch.

He should have said the team is coached by a work in progress.
You’re totally right. Herman hasn’t grown up yet. We should have recognized it with the secure the bag incident. Grown men don’t do that. Even Mike Gundy wouldn’t do that. He was grown at 40. Bush league crap from a coach should be a warning maybe he just isn’t ready. And I defended him.

Also, while we're on the subject, are we really going to do this to ourselves with Texas again? The Longhorns jumped back into the rankings after beating Oklahoma State 41-34 in overtime. Now, I get it, it's a huge win, but did you watch the game? Oklahoma State outgained the Longhorns in yards 530 to 287, and there's no way Texas wins without the Cowboys turning the ball over five times. Granted, Texas deserves some of the credit for those turnovers, but this was not a sustainable performance. Maybe we should make sure the Longhorns get past West Virginia before we feel the need to rank them again.
