EBOLA

Disease and war are natures way of population control.  Been that way for millennia.

Oh, no one liked this comment? surprising...

Perhaps it is because world population has not actually been growing, for awhile now?

It has been growing per that graph - 1% per year.  That's a 10 million extra people per year per billion.

Saw on the news last night that they have someone quarantined in Dallas with the possible Ebola virus.

I remember reading this 15 years ago or so, was a pretty big bestseller at the time

1992 Book "The Hot Zone: The Terrifying True Story of the Origins of the Ebola Virus"

by Richard Preston (the only nondoctor to have received the Centers for Disease Control's Champion of Prevention Award)

The bestselling landmark account of the first emergence of the Ebola virus. A highly infectious, deadly virus from the central African rain forest suddenly appears in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. There is no cure. In a few days 90 percent of its victims are dead. A secret military SWAT team of soldiers and scientists is mobilized to stop the outbreak of this exotic "hot" virus. The Hot Zone tells this dramatic story, giving a hair-raising account of the appearance of rare and lethal viruses and their "crashes" into the human race. Shocking, frightening, and impossible to ignore, The Hot Zone proves that truth really is scarier than fiction.
