As the Longhorns and Philadelphia Eagles seasons both spiral downward, does Chip Kelly's agent get a call from the new Texas AD offering a safety net at Texas? It's been done before when Bobby Petrino bolted Atlanta for Arkansas. Not saying Kelly would leave the Eagles before the season ends, but a behind closed door agreement with Texas and Kelly is not all that far fetched, is it?

Do you want a coach who has had players repeatedly come out and question his play-calling/relationship with players? He ran out most of players considered to be the best in Philadelphia and replaced them with players who fit his style. Those players have the Eagles off to a 1-3 start. Chip Kelly did some great things in Oregon, I'd never claim different. But his tenure in Philadelphia has painted him as cancerous, over-confident and incapable. Is that the kind of coach you want leading our football team?

I'm not for replacing Coach Strong.....but if it were to happen..... Chip would be a great hire..... Top college coach running the spread..... Great fit.

Saban sucked in the NFL. So did Holtz. So did Spurrier. Not advocating for Kelly, but 'he didn't win in the NFL' doesn't mean squat.

Nick Saban won a National Championship with LSU before leaving for the NFL. Spurrier won a National Championship with Florida before leaving for the NFL. Holtz coached for one year at a Professional level. Hardly enough tenure to claim he couldn't coach at the NFL level.

Kelly's greatest accomplishment was losing a National Championship game. Since he joined the NFL, players have done nothing but question his methods and his commitment to his players. The Eagles were a better team when he started coaching them than they are now. There have been constant claims from players that he doesn't respect his players.

No thanks. Chip Kelly coached the Oregon offense really well. But I'm not so desperate for a new Head Coach yet that I want the guy who hasn't had a single good thing said about him since 2012.

Would Chip Kelly even be allowed to come back to the College ranks.  I thought he ran to the NFL because the NCAA was about it lower the hammer on him!

Chip has too much negative baggage.
