I was having a round with a local sports person and I mentioned that Jerry doesn't like UT guys and yet will draft an Aggie like they are can't miss guys..

Turns out I was wrong, the Cowboys have drafted one Longhorn. Wane McGarity was drafted in the fourth round in 1999. In 12 years of the draft, one guy who didn't make it our of training camp.

In these years UT has had 54 players drafted and the Cowboys chose one.

Jerry has drafted 4 players from TCU, 5 from OU, 4 from TAM and 3 from TexTech..He has drafed more from UTEP than Texas..

The worst is drafting Stephen McGee and Martellus Bennett..McGee is the third QB and I just watch Bennett suck in Philly..

Jerry is a Razorback and I have heard that he doesn't like the Texas boys. This surely has to be not true because when the almighty dollar in the NFL is at stake you want the best players regardless. I have always hoped the Cowbopys would draft more Longhorns but doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon. Maybe when Malcolm Brown goes pro we have a chance.

The Cowboys won their titles back in to 90's but I have not been a fan of Jerry's since they let the classiest man in the NFL go - Tom Landry. I have read all the books and articles about how it might not have been Jerry's fault but the fact of the matter is he let Tom go, plain and simple. I root for the Cowboys because I grew up watching them as America's team but it is not the same. I will be glad when he sells the team and some integrity is brought back to Dallas.

Well first I love Tom Landry but he was going to get fired even if Bum Bright hadn't sold the team. The true story was Bum was supposed to fire Landry, who had gone 3 years with a losing record including 3-13 the previous year. Bum didn't and it fell on Jerry who in his joy of owning the Cowboys didn't handle the transition well.

Jerry has done a lot wrong but he if far from the evil goof he is written of by the press. You will probably never be happy because Jerry will never sell the most popular and successful sports franchise in history.

I am a closet Dallas fan and have to agree that Jones gets a bad rap about the Tom Landry firing. Bright was the true culprit in the firing of Landry. Jerry Jones wanted his own guy Jimmy Johnson in there and Bright WAS supposed to let Landry go. Hard to fault a guy who buys a new team and wants his personnel in place.
