It is now down the Standford, UCLA and Arkansas.

I really thought that Strong was going to be able to close him.

Very disappointing.

The current climate is beginning to remind me of the early to mid 90s. All the bada**es leaving for tosu, bama, and others. Most depressing.

I get Stanford and UCLA, great places to spend four years. But Arkiesaw?

It's a tough task to ask a coach to close on a kid when he has had only a few days to actually build a relationship with him. I have said that any extra commits that Texas can get is a plus, I will look at the 2015 class as Strong's first class.

Strong ly agree.

Kind of hard when the kid doesn't even give us a chance. Big loss for him and us.

Must be that wide open up tempo offense that Bama runs - we all have read here how the end of the world is coming because of the lack of pizzazz of our new offense....

Since 2010, Stanford has had only 1 top 20 "ranked" classes, USC has had every year top 20 and three top five.

The single most overrated item is some sports blog recruiting rankings.

While I agree with you there is something to be said for it. Look at Alabama. Obviously once you land 'em you gotta coach 'em and nobody knows that better than us. If you can pull them in and coach them up you've got a powerhouse.

Tells you that you really can't read 17 or 18 year old kids. A bunch of people actually started making their crystal ball predictions for Ohio State in the past few weeks, and now Ohio State is eliminated. I think he's probably going to Stanford, but his sister is at Arkansas so who knows.

I will say Solomon has handled this recruiting process the right way. Takes his time instead of committing and the de-committing two days later. Has a good head on his shoulders.

I agree, but it's crazy that James Franklin has already flipped 5 recruits in the week that he has been coach at PSU.
