These stories of young people having children at this stage of life. Just makes me sad

...happy that the precious little one, has arrived safe and healthy. but never happy about very young parents...

20 years ago I bet we would not be celebrating a young kid having a child out of wedlock. Happy the baby is healthly but find the entire situation very sad. Wonder who is going to be responsible for its care and welfare? A young kid playing baskestball in college making no money? The families involved? (hopefully) Or society? (welfare)

Hopefully the father marries the mother and will end up supporting his family. And if that means quitting basketball and getting a job, so be it. Otherwise, don't have sex until you are married and therefore free to concentrate on your baskestball career. Instead, you (the father and mother) now have an innocent young life that needs to be priority number one.
