Sorry for getting this out so late, I was in DC for the first part of the week.

First off, here are the results from last weeks games:

UTK66: 5-1 (best score prediction of 33-13)

1stand5: 5-1 (score prediction 35-10)

Thiggystyle: 5-1 (score prediction 45-6)

Whisenant: 4-2

McQ: 4-2

Hoekem: 4-2

TheContractor: 4-2

lsampson: 4-2

POCKEY: 4-2

LonghornDog: 3-3

lllHorn: 3-3

I think Tech's inability to stop the run surprised us, or more likely, Oklahoma State's ability to run the ball as well as pass might have surprised us - this is why they scare me. Michigan State's defense is legit. Nebraska squeaked one out on a last second Hail Mary. Georgia almost let a pathetic Florida offense come back. Miami got exposed.

Here are this weeks games I have picked. Please feel free to participate even if you did not last week. We'll do weekly tallies as well as a running overall tally.

Here are my picks

Baylor - I think they are going to roll OUsucks. Oklahoma's pass defense is overrated and will be exposed as they stretch the field with both long plays and short screens. One on one the secondary will not be able to contain Baylor's speed and will miss too many tackles.

Oregon - The Ducks will prove their worth and win by 30+. The defense of Oregon will be the biggest surprise of the night.

BYU - Just because they put a whoopin on us I want it to be somewhat validated by them beating a ranked team... sigh...

Alabama - I am actually little conflicted on this one. I think the Tigers can move the ball on them and score points with their play maker receivers, I just think the Alabama offense carries them through a tough game. I'll be rooting for LSU though.

Pittsburgh - I think Pitt will beat ND in a close game. Although ND plays well away from home they aren't consistent enough to pull out the W.

Vanderbilt - Vandy will be able to score more against Florida's stout defense than the Florida offense can muster.

Michigan - Michigan's offense can score points (on teams not named Michigan State) and last week's prayer Hail Mary was answered saving Bo Pelini's job. Not so lucky this week...

TCU - Having Pachall back behind center gives this TCU offense something it's been lacking. ISU doesn't have enough in the tank to beat TCU's D.

Arizona State - ASU sends Steve Patterson out with a W.

Texas - We are going to employ much the same offensive game plan as we did against OUsucks. We will get the ball into the hands of Grey, Brown, and Johnson and pound it at the defense. Use the short to intermediate passing game to stay ahead of the chains and check to the deep pass when we have one on one coverage with no help over the top. Case must be more accurate with his long passes and give our receivers a chance to run into space and under the ball. Keep it out of the middle and minimize the chance of a safety roaming over to help pick it off. Our defense will play stout but WV will try to exploit our LB's in coverage. Texas wins 42 - 14

Holy Cow! That's awesome!

It'll be a much tougher week, though. That OKState game is going to be a difficult one to predict.
