Here's what the stadium looks like as of today (07/22/2014) from I-35:

It may be a fantastic stadium...but, in comparison to DKR and UT standards is is a teeny-tiny football venue.  Personally, I would prefer to suit-up and play in front of 100,000+, rather than 45,000.

UT has 3-times the enrollment of Baylor.  Factor in living alumni and Austin-area fans and it's easy to see why DKR seats 100k.  BU has done well for themselves.

McLane Stadium looks good from I-35 and will be a helluva draw for them.

I went to the Armed Force Bowl at TCU last year. . . .Baylor will be very similar seating wise. . .I really liked it. . .granted, not DKR but we are talking mid tier vs top tier.

It has always disappointed me that TEXAS fans do not make the drive to Wacko in numbers. . .less than 2 hours. . . only in the last couple years were tickets hard to come by. . .

Already have my season tickets. SicEm Bears.

FYI, my son and daughter in-law are both Baylor grads and Son will graduate from Truett Seminary on the Baylor campus come fall. Hard not to cheer for a place that has all my money.

Understand. . .

I have LOTS of friends who attended or whose kids attend Baylor. . . .

Not very impressive from the outside but interior views are nice as is the proximity to the lake.

Have they ever figured out how they'll keep the place from flooding if the Brazos floods?

I have been asked to shoot (photograph) George's Fan Zone activities for the 1st game... Still considering that option...

If I have to wear green & yellow, then it's a no brainer... No Thanks.... Hook ' Em!

Not nearly as impressive as the architectural renderings they showed a few months ago.  Then again I guess those things never are.

The view from the freeway is kind of meh.

I think it looks pretty cool.  It'll be a big topic of discussion this year and will probably stay packed for three to four seasons, but 45,000 is pretty small compared to the best.

Oregon's Autzen Stadium is only 53,800 and everybody claims it's the S***.

Good for Baylor. If they take a recruit or two from ou or the farmers or keep a kid in state away from lsu ...great.

Not me.  I have no problem cheering against aggy - where my daughter, son-in-law and money went.

That pic sort of reminds me of a zoo cage, very little style.  Just a bunch of bars.and little else.
