Bama vs. West Virginia to open the 2014 season?

Alabama and West Virginia appear to have agreed to open the 2014 college football season in Atlanta. Who do you like? John Denver or Skynyrd? I'm thinking this will be one WVU will lose.. Geno will be gone and Bama will have yet another bloodthirsty Bama defense.

To WVU: don't underestimate the power of Satan.

I'm not even going to go homer and pretend this is our game. Bama ain't no joke.

We'll have lost Geno. That sucks. But we have tons of young offensive weapons. And out defense is 70% youth.

As Bob Huggins always says ..."Well, we're going to atleast show up."

I'll be pulling for the Mountaineers and I might find a way to get to that game - my wife is a Bama grad. Does WVU have anyone with potential waiting in the wings after Smith leaves? Also any chance he leaves early?

Wont be leaving early. This is his senior year. He didnt redshirt. Had to play in a few games due to injury as a freshman. We do have a kid waiting in the wings. A Texas kid to be exact. Ford Childress will be the QB in 2014. This offense attracts stud wr's and our coaches are doing a hell of a job recruiting lineman. Should be a fun game.

One of the users on my board at eersnation.com said they read it likely could be a 3 million dollar payout. Thats a huge paycheck.

A little FYI Saban is actually from WV and was an assistant coach at WVU.

Either way we win. A Bama loss is good for Texas because they will probably compete for a title that year and wont have to dick with Saban. A WVU loss will be good because they are conference opponents. Saban is a shit.

History tells us Bama will win because WVU seems to lose these games. Their record against ranked teams is not good but I will pull for the Big XII. We need them to have a good record and ranking when we beat them in Austin..
