It's called due diligence. You want to make it appear as though you looked at all candidates.

I read somewhere that there is a buyout amount, but it varies depending on certain circumstances so it is listed as 0 for simplicity. Who knows for sure.

Radio said that his new extension doesn't really pay him much more, maybe $800k more a year if he met all of his incentives, but includes raises for his coordinators and other assistant coaches. I just don't see him going through all of that to get his assistants raises only to bail on them a few days later and they may never see it.

Also, with the rumored timeline of the announcement being this weekend to Monday, it seems to exclude Fisher. I guess he could be announced before the championship game, but that could get very awkward!

From what I've gathered on all of the boards, it seems to be you-know-who's to take and John Harbaugh in case he doesn't.
