2017 NFL Draft

Look for this to become more common. I know Fournette is not playing in LSU's bowl game. I'm sure it's happened in the past, but I see a lot of the guys expected to go high in the draft to start to skip bowl games to prep for the combine on a more regular basis.

Im sure his decision would be different if the game actually mattered.

I for one think the whole 547 bowls has become crazy.

Teams that are barely .500 should have no part playing another game.

So why not skip the last game of the regular season too if your team is not playing for the national championship or conference championship?

The CFB Playoff has marginalized every bowl but the semifinals.

Let's expand the playoffs already and be done with a plethora of craptastic exhibition games. I mean, who cares but the most die-hard gamblers and football junkies? I can't blame McCaffrey or Fournette for sitting out the Toilet Bowl.

It ain't worth it

I agree. Way too many bowls now that have lessened the importance of the achievement. With that said, it won't change any time soon. Too much money involved.

I got in the habit of watching TTU back in their Pirate Days, and have never stopped.

I got a little jealous this year watching Mahomes.

Interesting to see what he does

Same. He has something different that past Tech QBs didn't have. Was the right decision for him to come out, another year in that offense would almost be a negative. He had nothing left to gain IMO.

Developmental guy. Initial thought is that I wouldn't mind my Texans taking a midround shot, but I dunno.

At times, his "touch" was beyond amazing.  He can really drop a ball into space.

I can remember while watching wondering if he could pull that off at the next level.

Get to find out soon

Couldn't find the uniform thread so dumped this here. Are the newly coined "LA Chargers" really going to drop there classic helmet logo for the stupid LA lightening bolt logo that was revealed? Or are they simply going to use the new logo for merchandising and/or signage? I know we might not know yet, but those classic helmets kick ass! Just ask Rolf Benershka and Fouts.
