With an 8-4 2013, JFF gone and the disastrous 2013 aggy defense, Strong should go hard after 2014 aggy commits between now and national signing day. MBTF is finally gone and they now have a much better alternative in Texas if their goal is winning championships.

Particularly the defensive players. Coach Strong is a proven A+ defensive coordinator. But, aggy can sell the SEC myth and playing time for guys like Zaycovean.

I agree Joe, Texas is just not willing to pay players like the aggs will...hey ohh...I will be here all night.

What I don't get is why the NCAA won't do sh*t to them (sec). I wish some bad ass Texas Attorney sues the living sh*t out of the NCAA for being hypocrites.

A man can dream.

Coach Strong is going after Aggy commits and every Big 12 team recruits. Also Florida and SEC.

If they really are getting paid then there isn't much hope.

Outside of that, they have their two greatest years ever and one of them was eeking by Duke (playing 11 on 15 there at the end when the refs decided to swallow the whistle on two blatant PI calls) and finishing what, 18?

The only thing A&M has to sell is SEC which is why they stroke it so hard. When that myth dies, it's back to business as usual. But then again, business as usual with A&M has often been cheating/paying so who knows?

So the answer for Texas is to be what aggy is?! Lol. Let the kids who want to spend four years at a farm school in a sh!thole town do that. No kid worth recruiting sees Texas and aggy as two options difficult to differentiate. If they want to go aggy, the odds are we don't want them at Texas because the simply won't do well in the Austin culture.

You are obviously not a humanitarian. LOL 18 year old "kids" are often clueless and misinformed about aggy and the greatest service any human being can do for another is to save them from a lifetime in the aggy cult.

I don't see any commits leaving A&M in this class. However, a strong staff should make for an interesting foray into the 2015 class. Typically a new hire will increase the recruiting momentum of a school if they have been struggling, but having it happen less than a month before signing day doesn't leave much time, especially when it takes another week or two to fill out the staff with coordinators and position coaches. Only one I am worried about right now is Nick Harvey, but I am hoping that Akina not being retained will keep him on our side. Shaun Nixon has stated he wants to be the lone back in a class so I can't see Texas being a threat due to this fact. While there will be time to make up ground or flip commits, Strong needs to get a staff in place in time for a junior day in late January/ early February because I know our coaches have pushed up our junior days in the hopes of striking while the iron is hot. Also, does anyone know if Strong will offer sophomores and juniors early, this is common practice in Texas but he has doesn't have any recent ties into the state so I'm not sure if he bucked the national trend at Louisville.

If Shaun Nixon said that then I hope he stays with you all. Looks to me you guys are building a '10-'13 type Texas team if you actually submit to the will of recruits who demand that they are the only one, or promised this or that.
