Following their 70-66 victory over Syracuse last night, the Longhorns earned a spot in the championship game of the UKG Legends Classic. They will face the Saint Joseph Hawks, who defeated No. 24 Texas Tech 78-77 in the late game yesterday in Brooklyn.

The Horns last played St. Joe's in the Maui Invitational back in 2008, where they earned a 68-50 victory. Texas is 4-0 against the Hawks all-time.

This is the 4th time the Longhorns have played in the Legends Classic, which they won in its inaugural year in 2007.

Texas is favored in this game by 7.5 points.

Tip time at Barclays Center is 8:30 pm CST with the game being shown on ESPNU.

Texas Tech beats Syracuse in the losers bracket to send the Orange home with an 0-2 record in the Legends Classic.

Horns and Hawks about to tipoff.

Horns need to start hitting some shots. Working so hard for so little.

Can't let St Joes outrebound us

Texas has pulled away in the 2nd half. 67-58 to wiin the Legends Championship.

– Why does Rodney Terry button his top button on his shirt? Is he a nerd?
– I give a game ball to Shedrick tonight. This guy had a great game. Timely shots, good defense. He has come a long way.
– Mark played well, but he needs a few more games to get up to snuff.
– Johnson again was throwing up shots. Not productive in the first half but they started falling in the second half.
– Weaver is a big reason we won. His defense was oustanding.
– Julian Larry is a good player.

You are a bit behind the times on current fashion. This is a popular style with kids these days
My style has been consistent over the years, some years I'm in and some I'm out but I'm me. The only time I ever buttoned my top button was back in the day when I had to wear a suit and tie for work. Even then, I'd unbutton the top button most the time.

Yep, me as well. But it's a fashion amongst teens and 20s these days.
