Ha! Impressive...

Okay.... I'm going to suggest we win our two home games (Miss St & Our Kansas). Our post-season dreams depend on us winning two or more of these games: @ Misery @ LSU @ Aggy

I lived in Caddo Mills (Northeast Texas) and my kids played sports there. They still talk about a track meet in Caddo, where Edwin Simmons and Stanley Richards both ran. I guess the track kind of tilted when those two large humans were running.

I'm going to throw this out there - and I may be talking out of the wrong orifice. With regard to the "hands team." If the opponent kicks a screaming ground ball at the front line.... there is no rule that you must attempt to field it at the 10 yard mark. Fielding a hot grounder that is a...

I was at the game. Exciting win. To paraphrase the great Bill Parcels, "you are what you are." This team cannot stand to have a comfortable lead. It's in our DNA. I didn't eat the cheese on Saturday. I expected us to lose the lead, and as you know, wasn't surprised. If you go right down...

Seeing a 6-3 RB reminded me of Edwin Simmons. The way he strides, etc... For those of us who saw Edwin - pre knee surgery... this is quite a statement.

I was at this game. Thrilling game indeed Arch gets people to tune in / click on.... I've about had it with every commentator breaking down Arch's footwork, eyeballs, psycho-analysis, etc.... If Arch does come back, we likely lose Lacey. If he doesn't return, I imagine he throws his hat in...

I have tickets to this game. I bought them when Texas was ranked #1 and Ole Miss was something like #7. I'm going even with the historically bad change of circumstances -- with all my (adult) kids. I'm selling them on the intrigue of Arch improving or we get to see KJ Lacey. Also, if we...

If we ever did run an actualy "Zone Read" and not a fake one with no option.... the QB keep is good for 8-10 unmolested yards often. I can see it from my recliner, and we keep handing it off in that zone read look.... I know that isn't the "Sark system." But it wasn't the Greg Davis system...

If you have the time and inclination, listen to Tony Hills on OnTexasFootball's Coffee and Football yesterday. For those of us (patting my own back) that have been saying this offense is too complicated... he seems to validate that sentiment. I guess Cruise (former Longhorn Center) went to NC...

This is what we in the Dallas area call, a "mixed message."

I actually like this and wish they would. Baker, unfortunately, was better at RT. Better than Sinai has been....

Coach: Sam Pittman Just kidding.... I think....

I disagree. Ewers received a perfect rating by 247 Sports which combines several ratings from other recruiting services. Only 5 other players in the history of their service had ever received this honor (Trevor Lawrence and Vince Young being two). Ewers also had some games that were every bit...

"maybe his scheme is too complicated" I've been suggesting this for some time. I think good circumstantial evidence is how our QBs play... It just looks like they are thinking rather than reacting. I've also hears several times that talented freshmen runningbacks cannot play because they...

Very interesting video. There is still a question as to why our QBs seem to grossly underperform in this offense. This is two QBs in a row that have come in here being touted as, perhaps, the best HS QB in the nation.... Quinn was one of the highest ranked QBs ever - up there with Trevor...

Which one of them is calling the protection scheme where the interior OL is caved in so quickly that the QB can't breathe? I personally would call for protection that kind of creates a pocket.

I think the best offense going (in college) is what people are running from the "Briles tree." We ran it one year with Sterlen Gilbert. I'm curious what exactly you mean by the "West Coast Offense." When I hear "West Coast Offense" what comes to my mind is what Bill Walsh is credited for...

I keep hearing people call for a new "play caller." I believe it goes beyond that.... we need a new offensive system. From the view I have from my recliner, it looks to me like this offense is what was run in the NFL in the 1990s. It is slow developing long pass-routes that require a long...

Vogal has become a truth teller. Not the norm for the "On Texas Football" crew.
