I guess that only applies to some players...

    2026 PORTAL

Obviously not all of the athletes entering the portal will find homes. With the changes to the roster limit (120->105) and the scholarship limit change(85->105) the mid level talent is more likely to find landing spots, while guys struggling, but hoping to find playing time elsewhere will be...

    2026 PORTAL

The opposite approach to Ewers. I understand that him leaving makes sense, but if he becomes a Sooner, then I won't be rooting for him, like I do for almost all ex Longhorns.

    2026 PORTAL

Maybe an NIL issue. It may not be likely, but by playing in the bowl game a return seems possible.

    College Playoffs

When alabama is playing Saban has always picked them. For better or worse that's about loyalty, and not objective analytical integrity.

    2026 PORTAL

I'm sure someone players will over play their hands. I have no idea how much he is being offered vs what he wants. It may put the team in a bad spot, but it's hard to imagine it being a good strategy. If true, it's a bit of a stain on his shine, so likely causes his market value to drop...

    BOWL GAME: Texas vs Michigan

A win gets us to 10 wins for the season, and finishes the "season" on a high note. I would hope they get the team as prepared as possible.

    2026 PORTAL

If so, I guess it's a sign of the times. I totally understand that both the players and the schools need to do what's best for them, but as a fan this mostly sucks. I guess it must suck much worse if your school isn't able to participate in the NIL arms race.

    Staff Changes

Sark will get a lot of heat if he doesn't win enough games. He obviously understands this, and it's safe to assume he will make hiring decisions that he thinks give the team the best chance to win. There were also rumors that PK wanted to go back to the west coast, so keeping PK long term may...

    aggy thread

Too funny. Not sure how this all plays out but BAS is alive and well. Hopefully the pattern of a coach showing promise, getting a huge raise/extension, followed by years of disappointment is continuing.

    PK OUT, MUSCHAMP IS BACK

Yeah after his final year it also left a bad taste in my mouth. That was 16 years ago, and I haven't followed him much. 55 year old Muschamp likely quite different then 39 year old Muschamp. . Hopefully Sark knows what he is doing.

    2026 PORTAL

Not sure if that's allowed. Theoretically NIL isn't pay for play, although that's mostly a joke at this point

    2026 PORTAL

Multi year has advantages and disadvantages. Another problem with a multi year deal is if you have a 3 star who becomes a star, they are not going to be happy when their backup is making way more money then they are.

    2026 PORTAL

I agree it's unlikely to be about money, since he is well regarded and we are thin at linebacker. No idea about his reasoning, but best of luck to him moving forward.

    BOWL GAME: Texas vs Michigan

I don't understand why players feel differently about the bowl vs the playoffs. In both cases it's a final opportunity to play for your school, get extra exposure, with the down side of potential injury. I understand a potential natty is a bigger deal then a cheez it citrus bowl championship...

Exactly. It's hard to imagine his complaining about not leading, then not winning helping his future options.

    Texas 2026 Schedule

With the 3-6-6 scheduling model, all of the teams we don't play this year, we will be playing next year, so we will play UGA and Bamna next year.
