They got no business hanging with the Spurs, a much better team, but played tough tonight and forced a Game 7 on Sunday. That 4th quarter was intense!

the entire series has been intense. two proud franchises, two excellent coaches, two old war-horses in duncan and dirk playing their *** off, an alternating secondary cast of characters all contributing. great TV.

now if HOU wins (ahead as i type), 6 of the 8 first round playoff series will go 7. that's just some fun stuff.

As a spurs fan, and a loather of most things Dfw related, I tip my hat to Carlisle and the mavs.

The spurs would have beat Jordan's bulls, bird's celtics or majic's lakers today. One of those games good teams have.

The mavs pushed them to the limit. I suspect Portland will be a pain as well.
