Talked to a friend of mine tightly connected with UCLA Athletics and he said Mora is openly talking about how much beating Texas in Arlington will do for the Bruins. It is going to be one of Texas' toughest games but I was still shocked to hear Mora, Jr is talking about it. They are recruiting the south really hard and has plucked some kids from Louisiana too. If Texas can get this win, it would be huge because national eyes will be on that game.

Smart move on Mora's part, IMO. Telling kids about something and then doing it could make an impression.

It's a pain for the Horns, but honestly I'd rather deal with this/a game compared to the SEC.

Yes that game will tell us where we are as a program and would be a huge win for Texas...

Huge game! My Bruin and I are going. He is worried that we might make a game of this since Mack Brown is no longer coach.

Sean I always like reading your take on Texas football. Care to share a score with us on the UCLA/Texas game. My friends y'all have agreat week

To this day, 66-3 remains one of my worst memories at a Horns game.

Ugh, I was there too.  Skip Hicks and Cade McNown were both beast that day.  I was sitting near the UCLA band and the only positive from that game were the Bruin cheerleaders.

Man, it's gonna be hard to prepare for Texas right now without knowing what kind of offense and defense they are going to be running next year.
I'd think they'd look at a lot of Louisville film from last year.Having Robinson from USC could help since he's seen UCLA recently.  Having Wickline and Koening from schools besides Louisville will hopefully help mix it up along with Rumph.

UCLA likely wins this game, but it won't be another 66-3. Texas likely has a really good defense with Strong. Vast improvement on the defensive side of the ball, but Hundley is really good. UCLA offensive line is really young but talented. Should be a great game.

They need the win much more than Texas does. Almost plays right into Charlie Strong's hands. Carrying that much pressure for months might be more than some of the Bruins can handle.

sean, is there any way for your "ucla revelations" to somehow "magically" appear to the "strong" regime's bellmont offices?  just saying...

Since we're on the UCLA kick, I'm still pissed we didn't execute revenge in '98.  Instead we got our asses handed to us by 18.  I remember seething just as much in '98 as I did in '97.
