*****GAME THREAD: Florida Gators @ No. 7 Texas Longhorns*****

After cooling off, here's my 2 cents:CDC needs to give Sark an ultimatum. Hire a new OL coach and OC. Change other coaches as you see fit. If not, Texas will change head coaches. I think it's time.

I'd add – hire a Special Teams coach and let Banks coach only TEs.

Sark got a little pissy in that press conference. Is he feeling the heat or just mad because somebody questioned his coaching?
The latter as he’s a bit arrogant and cocky but I’m sure after the press conference he will start to feel the heat.

Sark needs to let Arch know he will not be the starting QB at Texas. Sark has to show the world the offense is an Arch problem and to do that he plays a different QB.

Arch needs to hope the offense continues to crater so he can claim the problem is Sark and not him.

Lacey or Bell should be throwing with the first string WRs as this is being typed.

1. Flood has to be gone after this season. Unless there is an analyst on staff that has OL coaching experience. Then he needs to be gone tomorrow.
2. Sark keeps saying he was hired to call plays. I don't know that CDC thinks the same way. Sark was hired to win championships. I think Sark would be a great Head coach if he relinquished the play calling and hired someone like Chip Kelly.

I don't feel like digging up the chart, but this week someone posted the performance data for VY, Colt, and Arch through the same number of starts. Arch was every bit as good as those two legends. And those two had much better OLs. Of course everyone needs to improve, but we have some serious liabilities on the OL which might be exacerbated by the OL coach.

We have an OL coach?

Were they 4th year players/stats?

Here is the side-by-side comparison of their statistics through their first 19 career starts:

Arch Manning

· Record (Top 10 Opps): 16-3 (4-2)

· Passing: 358/573 (62.4%), 4,633 yards, 41 TD, 11 INT (148.7 rating)

· Rushing: 130 carries, 588 yards, 13 TD

· Total Yards / Total TDs: 5,221 / 54

Colt McCoy

· Record (Top 10 Opps): 14-5 (0-2)

· Passing: 354/530 (66.8%), 4,148 yards, 39 TD, 17 INT (150.4 rating)

· Rushing: 105 carries, 248 yards, 2 TD

· Total Yards / Total TDs: 4,396 / 41

Vince Young

· Record (Top 10 Opps): 16-3 (0-2)

· Passing: 205/346 (59.2%), 2,593 yards, 16 TD, 17 INT (127.6 rating)

· Rushing: 249 carries, 1,621 yards, 16 TD

· Total Yards / Total TDs: 4,214 / 32

If memory serves me, Colt and VY played behind much better offensive lines so there's that, too. I know we all wish Arch was playing better, but trying to play QB behind an OL like ours is extremely difficult.
I agree the OL is not great. It's almost like we need an experienced OC-type coach that could scheme around the OL's shortcomings. Also, it would nice if the OC could make adjustments during the actual game when the other team's defense does things he did not scheme for originally.
