What were the five best/most exciting games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium?

I got to see Ricky run for the record. The stadium was electric 30 minutes before kickoff. You just knew you were going to witness history being made.

Never sat down. Was completely hoarse by the end of the 1st quarter.

Most exciting game I ever watched live.

Ok. Reread the question. Not sure I have five. Did get to witness Bo Jackson getting run down from behind and breaking his collar bone.

Also got the watch Earl play and totally running over an SMU defender. Still have a poster of Earl jumping over him as the guy is lying on his back.

The night Nathan Vasher almost decapitated Carol Francis from Texas Tech.

1970 No. 2 Texas defeating UCLA 20-17. Texas quarterback Eddie Phillips connected with receiver Charles "Cotton" Speyrer on a dramatic 45-yard game-winning touchdown pass with just 12 seconds left. That might be the loudest I've heard the stadium. Sounded like an explosion.

On a different note: watching Ricky Williams run over a Rice player, juke the next player and out race the rest to the end zone. It really wasn't fair. Then watch the Mob.

I would put the 2004 Okie Lite game on the list.
I would agree with having that game on the list. It was a terrible first half. At halftime I left the stadium and went to the Texas Exes to drink whiskey with the intention of staying at their bar. After we scored the first touchdown of the second half, I hightailed it back to my seat & enjoyed the rest of the game!
