In your opinion, is anything less than a national championship a successful season in 2026?

Would you be happy making it to the national championship game?
Would you be satisfied making it to the national semi-finals?
Winning the SEC?

What's your minimum expectation for 2026 to be a successful season?

10 wins
Beat 0uSux and a&m
win at least 2 playoff games.

That to me is a successful season.

I think our best shot at a NC in many years comes this season. The ingredients are all there.

However, this year there are 4-5 teams who could win it all and are similar in talent level. So with that comes tempered expectations for Texas. Am I hopeful and optimistic? Yes. With a NC, so much has to come together simultaneously. Even the best college football team of all time (2005 USC) or so they were deemed, were taken down by an upstart UT.

Is this the year? There's seldom been more things in place for it to happen.

Texas plays five of the top 11 teams in the country this year.

I agree with this. We must get over the Georgia hump. Plus, it's another thing we hang over the aggy (and OU) head. lol
