Finally calculated my W-L for attending Texas FB games! Not bad! I benefited from attending Texas from 2000-2004 and then also being out of state basically 2011-2024 and attending some games. Now back in Austin the last few years and benefiting again

Former Texas offensive lineman Cole Hutson has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA to become eligible in 2026.

Hutson was not drafted but was offered a free agent deal from the Cowboys, which he turned down. Now, he wants to return to Texas.

From rags to riches on the OL over the past several months.

RE Hutson . . . I don't expect him to return and start. I think Seymore is the better player. But Hutson gives us depth at both guards and also at center. He is a better guard than center though.

If Robinson goes down, I'd feel good with Hutson and his experience going in.

I think this is the deal. The classes before him got 5 years (COVID), now the classes after him get 5 years (new 5 for 5 rule).... so why does this one class get 4? This is the rational (I believe) behind Pope and Weaver suing for another year as well. I believe all will win.

Hudson, if he doesn't start, could serve a vital role as back up to the center and both guards. Maybe even getting in some sort of rotation. Remember, our offensive line made great strides.... not as much from being coached up as from Hudson taking over the left guard spot. He's solid for sure.

I hope he comes back. I also hope to never see another OL at Texas like early last year.
