Southlake Carroll will play Oklahoma powerhouse Jenks Trojans on Aug. 28 this year. They will play in the Cotton Bowl.

Who is the new coach for SLC?

Lee Munn is his name. He was the defensive coordinator for Riley Dodge and was promoted to HC once Dodge went to SMU.

Very odd to me for such a notorious offensive minded football program to now have a head coach with defensive background.

As for Kerrville, I'm supposing here, a Tivy is a note from a hunting horn so a jump to antlers isn't that big of a stretch.
Mason used to be the Cowpunchers as in a trail cowboy. I don't know why they shortened the name.
There's only a handful of flights of fancy here. The rest make sense when looking at the town name or history.
Also, why is Farmersville on this list but Lewisville isn't?
