I once had a couple of beers with him and Tim. He was an even better person than he was an athlete
My former wife (fuck breast cancer) was going to class at UT when Earl literally ran into her at a hall corner and knocked her down. He picked her up and made sure she was okay. Told her “I hurt people.”
Walked her to her class and even made a point to check on her one last time as he was waiting for her when her class was over.
