Question on another board:
What's the deal with OL Kennedy Brown? Arguably the top player in the state at a position we haven't landed a 5-star since Brandon Baker. Wasn't included in Gerry's ideal class. Just not interested?

Gerry has said the staff thinks Brown is a bit over rated and they have several prospects ranked ahead of him. Brown has spent half of his eligible playing time injured to this point in his HS career.

Seems similar to the kid that signed with Tech last cycle. I think Texas pursued, but I don't think they wanted to break the bank for him. Seemed like they thought he was over rated and I gotta tell you, according to what I saw in film I think I agree. I especially agree after watching Texas signed J. Carlton tear him a new one at the camps.

Yeah, I think Texas looked at him and evaluated him and probably would've taken him to develop, but not at his asking price. Definition of a bad investment.
