not necessarily a bad thing, right? I mean, it shows the Horns have had to do it on their own.
You wonder though when the least penalized team in the SEC, Alabama has more yardage assessed against them, 258 than Texas has gained on opponents penalties 188.
Another thing. Watch the Head Linesman and the Line Judge spot the ball. It will make you scratch your head.

This is from CJ Vogel, re Michael Terry as a runningback:

On Michael Terry, we asked what he brings to the table: “He’s physical, even more than Baxter. He runs with the power you’d expect of an SEC back. Coaches are still learning about him as a real running back, but he gets downhill and looks for contact.” Look, if he gets in at some point and looks tentative, that wouldn’t surprise me. We’ve seen that with lifetime running backs. The fact remains, he’s a big, 6-foot-2.5, 225-pound true freshman who is athletic and will run behind his pads.

Here are some of my observations and critiques for this year's season to date.

The Oline continues to suck. No improvement or development. Flood needs to be put on notice.

Texas needs to hit the portal hard for offensive linemen. They also need to bring their checkbook.

Texas needs to find some CB's who can play man to man and disrupt the opposing WR's at the LOS.

Sark needs a true OC/QB coach.

Connor Robertson played every offensive snap yesterday. Daniel Cruz has only played in the SHSU game. How in the Hell is Cruz supposed to get any experience? Again Flood needs to be put on notice.

PK needs to rush more than 3 or 4 players on obvious passing downs and stop playing his DB's 10-12 yards off of the LOS.

None of the coaches seem to be able to adjust during the game. I think that might have something to do with Sark's stubbornness. He doesn't need to control every aspect of the team during the game. I saw him yesterday calling defensive signals.

I hate to say this, but is Arch ruined? Broken by a historically bad OL? If I were Arch I would hit the transfer portal this January. Things just aren't working out at Texas. When does Arch and the rest of the family become concerned about his development?

I could see this happening

How has he been in the program for 3 years and looks like this? If he was a freshman, sure, but 3rd year player?

I've had the same thought. I hope not. I remember that David Carr came into the NFL very highly rated and successful. The imaginary offensive line of the Houston Texans turned every play into a race for survival. Carr was sacked 76 (seventy-six) times in 2002. After a few years, he became a horror show. Let's hope we get Arch some better protection by the end of the season.

The Manhattan Institute's City Journal looked at 100 colleges. Including in the rankings was a look at the strength of its curriculum and whether the institution was providing excellence or coasting on fancy reputation.

Rankings (with score out 100)
1. The University of Florida 71.78
2. The University of Texas 70.83

Did aggy make the list?

When Sark was asked if they were holding back he said that they were building a foundation and not holding back. When translated into every day English means they have been holding back.
The problem with holding back.... is when you stop holding back, you have already established a playing style. Mack Brown used to hold back leading up to the OU game.... how did that work out?

Be who you are no matter who you are playing! Blitz, use motion, etc... trying to "turn it on" a few times a year is a flawed approach.

That's a pretty big drop between 2 and 3. Must be a bunch of lollygaggers.
