SignUp Now!Totally agree. The play against Miss St ain't gonna do it. You have to play your best game every week. Just ask Bama, Ole Miss and Tenn. That's why we play the game. It doesn't matter if you beat them 23 times in a row. It doesn't matter if they are 0-60 against top 5 teams....
I suppose being undefeated gives enough wiggle room to drop a game, but if this team is going to win a natty, then they will need to get better as the season progresses.

We have a championship level team. We can win it all this year. It just makes me really nervous that if the team starts nibbling the rat poison it could all go down the drain. It's been a long time since I've felt this way. I'm getting too old for this.
That attitude makes Kentucky the trap game. Just saying.Lots of trap games left, ou, ga, ark, vandy, a&m. I'm pretty sure we beat kent.

In case it hasn't been mentioned, and I'm sure others will agree with me, I appreciate your posts and help keeping this site moving. Keep it upI thought we could have a thread about all Longhorn news or opinion regarding everything other than recruiting. I hope I'm not being too presumptuous. There doesn't seem to be many threads started by members.
So, hopefully I'll get this started on the right foot.
Looking at the "Suns out, Guns out" photos, I'm fired up to see all the guys having a great time as they transition from winter conditioning into spring football. I especially like the photo of the QB's. When was the last time Texas had four 4 star/ESPN 300 QB's on scholarship? Add RoJo to the equation and the future looks bright. It also looks like Buechele has added some mass, at least in his arms.
I don't expect to see much more this spring than last. My experience when I played (back in prehistoric times) was that spring practice was just honing your basic football skills and refamiliarizing with the scheme. What do the rest of y'all think about the upcoming spring practices?
3 touchdowns given up all season. 2 of them in garbage time with big leads and our back ups in.
OU's FG came with a short field. 1 Miss St FG came after a Jayden Blue fumble at the 50.
The scoring stats don't even reflect how dominant this defense has been.
Defense has been dominant all year. ug will have the best QB we've faced thus far. I hope those stats hold but not holding my breathe. I'm sure they'll look at the bama game to see what worked.
The best flip in the last 2 yrs.
Smith impresses me every time he's out thereA&M will really hate to watch him and Tyanthony Smith wreak havoc next season.
This reply has no intention of taking away from this post (love data and your posts) or from the success of this year's team. I enjoy great defensive teams. I think it sets the tone for the whole team. I hope they only get better and meaner! That being said, I like to point out one of of the teams on that list. The 1961 team was a great team.
