Bo Davis is still listed as a coach. I don't know who is in charge of the texassports.com website but they don't seem to be doing a very good job.

Burton said on Friday that something is happening and that him and rod b are friends with him but they could not name names yet. So I know that rod b played for Akina and he thinks he is a great coach. So probably is true

Ryan Nielsen (Falcons) or Clint Hurtt (Seahawks) come to mind. Both were Def Coordinators this past season, but made their chops coaching the DL. Their head coaches were recently let go.

I don't know if he has a relationship with Sark, but it's definitely worth a phone call. Also, Rod is in the playoffs, so he won't be available until the Texans are out. Could be today, I guess.

Sark signs 4 year extension. He had 3 years remaining, so the contract goes until 2030.

Sark seems to have a propensity to hire coaches with NFL experience for position spots. Seems like a great strategy to help sell the message that Texas develops players for the league. Hope it works out.

Oh man, Strong wanted to hire Hurtt at Texas multiple times but it wasn’t allowed because he was such a dirty recruiter and had a show-cause penalty.
