Good breakdown of the possible outcomes.

He lists how he thinks the committe would rank teams based on final record. He puts 11-1 Bama behind 11-1 Texas but as TFloss mentioned that is up for debate. He also puts 11-1 UGA and 11-1 Michigan behind Texas.

Note: FSU loss is likely more likely than he has here as his model doesn't factor in injuries.

I disagree with his Alabama scenario the SEC champion will get in PERIOD

This is the way I see it to make things as "clear" and not debatable as possible:
1st and foremost, beat Okie St; hopefully convincingly. Georgia needs to win. A 2 loss team (in this case Alabama) will not make the playoff. Washington needs to win. Again, a 2 loss Oregon will not make the playoff. And lastly, FSU needs to lose. That leaves tOSU at 5 but not being conference champ, hell not even playing in the game, will get them jumped by Texas who now are conference champs with the biggest win of the regular season. If these scenarios play out, the top four will all be conference champs and be ranked as follows:

1) Georgia
2) Michigan
3) Washington
4) Texas

I know the word is this doesn’t have anything to do with the game, but it’s ironic and nonetheless I hope they catch the bastards

My daughter sent me a related story to this incident. What the dumbarses don’t realize, or maybe they do, what they did is a felony.

That's the way I see it, too.

Yes, but still fucked up. Someone will talk and end up getting caught. Had to be a group to move the sucker
Supposedly there is info coming out that the cow was found dead on the Grandparents ranch of a rival frat member then transported to the Farmhouse frat location. Apparently these two frats have been leaving dead animals on each others doorsteps for a while. Too coincidental for it to be a Longhorn.

Good looking arse too.

A loss early in season does not mean much 9-8 games later
I hear that logic a lot, but that begs the question of when is a huge win (or loss) too early or not. If Week 2 is too early to count in this discussion, is Week 4, or Week 5 late enough? Is Week 6 or 7 the magical "now things really count" mark?

If the committee discounts the biggest win of the 2023 season because it was "too early", then why are even bothering to schedule marquee games?

We schedule them because the committee/people talk out of both sides of their mouth. Not every situation is the same and we come up with rationale to support our decisions. The weighting of the inputs varies by year depending on the situation. It is not an explicit formula, but we are all able to come up with rationale answers why the committee is wrong. What the Chair did not do was explain why Oregon was higher than Texas and instead came up with a b.s. answer that just makes us feel we have been slighted. Hopefully, FSU loses and then we will all point out the Conf Championship is the decision maker!!
