Some random thoughts.
PK shut out ou last year
Be hard to improveon Burke and Sorrell at DE.
Lots or injuries in secondary.
Conuiety is good in coaching staffs but a weak link hurts whole team.
Agree offence should be scoring more points maybe a Off. Cord. is needed.

The offense just goes to conservative with a comfortable lead. Playing not lose can and usually does backfire.

If that were to happen, I could see MM entering the portal and Arch being QB2 for a year before taking over the reins as a RS Soph. Or, if MM stays, he's going to be in a dogfight with Arch for QB2.

Now if X, Mitchell, and Sanders were to stick around for another year with QE, the passing game would be sick.
I would be shocked if even 1 of those 3 came back next season.

PK definitely needs to shore up that secondary and somehow fix the mental/communication breakdowns that allow teams to come back. But, Sark also needs to figure out how to score more points. If he's the offensive genius that everyone says he is, we should be scoring 40+ a game with all the weapons we have. 0u scored 59 against West Virginia. When will we blow someone out a la All Gas, No Brakes?
we are not a quick strike offense, with the new down rules the clock runs much faster and we will see on the average of two less possessions in a game

I agree. I would suggest the defense does as well. The scheme seems to change with a "comfortable lead." And this gets a steroid booster during a two-minute situation.

I'm happy with the coaching staff. But they need to reimagine (I hate that expression) how to step on the throat when the opposition is down.

I wasn't here then. However, Jimbo would have been better than Charlie. No doubt in my mind.
I dont disagree but Jimbo wasnt a consideration in 2013 when Strong & Franklin were the selections put forth by Bill Powers, Deloss and Mack Brown.

Jimbo won the national championship for FSU in 2013 and wasnt on the market until 2017; hired away by aggy

Defense has improved year over year with PK, just like the offense has.

We have the #1 3rd down defense in the nation, after being terrible at this very thing last year. We are also an elite rushing defense. We continue to struggle against the pass for a variety of reasons, lack of DE pass rush, lack of elite DB talent/experience, lack of aggressive play calling and aggressive play by the DBs (Sark called out these last two things in his press conference).

I expect this defense, with no coaching changes, will continue to make improvements next year as our pass rush and DB talent/experience improves. PK and co can continue to improve their play calling and players can continue to improve their execution and play in games.

Making major changes at coordinator positions is a big reason we had the lost decade. No need to pull the plug on PK.
Third down defense doesn't mean squat if it's 2nd and two. That's a perfect set up against our defense when the corners give a large cushion.

Or – opposing team makes halftime adjustments which exploits what we're trying to do and PK does not adjust to that in the 2nd half.

I agree it is definitely on both sides of the ball

Here are the drives in the 3rd and 4th quarter at TCU by our offense. We have to do better
